I had the pleasure of dining at Ammakase during CNY which happened to be Valentine's Day too. As soon as I walked into the restaurant, I was absolutely blown away. The ambiance was stunning and the decor was exquisite. The attention to detail was extraordinary, from the beautifully crafted garnish for the water to your welcome drink.Ammakase's cuisine is truly unique. They have curated traditional receipes from mothers across the states along the coast of India and Sri Lanka. Their Neo-Indian cuisine is a perfect blend of traditional and the contemporary. Each dish was cooked to perfection, exquisitely presented, and beautifully garnished. The flavours were complex and perfectly balanced, making every bite an absolute delight. The staff at Ammakase were friendly and knowledgeable, and they took the time to explain each dish, enhancing the overall dining experience. I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at Ammakase. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly unique and unforgettable culinary experience.

Visited in Mar 2024Ammakase offers a tasting menu of 9-10 courses which follows a nice progression of flavours from start to finish. The dishes are well explained and presented. You will get to know the menu/dishes as you progress though the meal, and you’ll get to know the full menu at the end of the meal when you’ll be handed the printed menu. For the main course, we had a choice between a lamb dish, a chicken dish and a fish course. We went with the lamb dish for the main course and it was quite good. For desserts also we had 2 choices and we went with 1 of each. We didn’t order any drinks but you can do so if you want. The one thing I felt (personal viewpoint) was that the spiciness of some dishes had been pulled back/tapered (maybe to cater to a wider audience).Service was really good. The restaurant was kind to cater to our respective allergies by replacing dishes or contents of some dishes. All in all, I felt that this is decent restaurant and definitely worth a visit. But I just think that for the price point, I’ve had better Indian fine dining experiences in SG.

There is so many things I would say about this restaurant and trust me, its all good. The few things that stood out to me were 1) It's affordable fine dining.. its fine dining, not bistro, not cafe , but fine dining with class. . 2) The ambiance. Everyone was with a smile and friendly. I loved how each one of them introduced themselves each time I came into contact with them. The managers even took their time to explain the meaning of their brand and culinary experience. 3) Food was truly finger licking good! You can savor the different flavors from start of first bite till its off your palette, and this is for every dish literally. My favorites would have be the cured fish and payasam panna cotta! 4) It was my friend's birthday and since Covid, not many restaurants would bring out a special cake on top of dessert, but Ammakase did an amazing blueberry cheese cake! My pics do no justice at all... :)Seriously.. im going back there again 🙂

Tried the six course meal - some of the veg courses could be better / needed something more. Rest of the dishes were excellent including the dessert! Music could be improved too. Service was excellent.

Indian cuisine inspired by Japan’s Omakase.Overall experience was great! The atmosphere, service, and esp. food are all exquisite. Your palate will surely be satisfied, and each dish feels like a different journey.Food has an option to be tailored in your preference with veg/non-veg.I can say the experience is expected for a classy restaurant.
